FXCM is a broker that is well-known in the Forex marke today. We have dealt personally with FXCM in the past and can tell you that they were a top-notch operation.

One of the best things about FXCM is the customer service. They always seem to treat you with respect and go out of their way to help. If you ever need help, you can contact them via e-mail, chat, or over the phone.

You can open a micro account with as little as $50. With this type of account, you are trading small 1k contracts, so don't expect to retire a millionaire overnight with these little accounts. This is basically like trading pennies instead of using a demo account to learn.

If you want to open a standard account, it's going to cost yo $2000. On occasion, they have been known to lower that threshold to about $1000 with special offers and partnerships. $2000 is a little higher than some of the brokers out there and if you are starting with a shoestring budget, you might not be able to work with them. Other than this issue, they are solid in most other areas. Some people have occasional complaints about execution, but for the most part, they are just as good as everyone else out there.

If you are looking for a reputable broker with good customer service, you could do much worse than FXCM.
