Forex Conversion

Performing a Forex conversion of two currencies can be a bit tricky if you don't have any experience in this area. Converting currencies is not something that most people do on a daily basis. Because of this, it can be a bit confusing for the average person. If you're going on vacation or you need to trade currencies for some other reason, read on to find out how to convert one currency to another.

Foreign Exchange Converter

If you are a big fan of doing manual conversions with a calculator or on paper, I've got just the tool for you. Right here on the page, you can perform a Forex conversion in about two seconds. Do you know what currency you have and what currency you want to convert to? Good. Do you know how much currency you have now? Well, then you're good to go. Really. That's all you need to know.

See the widget down below this paragraph? Just choose the two different currencies that you are working with. On the left side, you pick the currency that you have. On the other side, you pick the currency that you want to convert to. Then you just enter the amount of currency that you have in the left text box. At that point, the widget will automatically convert the currency for you and show you how many units of the other currency you can get based on the monetary exchange rate at the time. The rates are always up-to-date so you don't have to worry about that. Give it a try and see how you like it.

Doing the Calculations

If you're not the type of person who likes to take shortcuts when they're available, you may need to figure out how to convert one currency to another without use of this widget. That's completely OK. I don't really understand you, but that's OK.

If this is the case, you simply take the unit of currency that you have and multiply it by the appropriate monetary exchange rate. For example, if the exchange rate for the EUR/USD pair was .88 you would take the number of euros you have and multiply them by .88 to calculate the number of dollars that could get. Pretty basic, right?

Making Money

Did you enjoy doing this calculations? If so, you may also enjoy making money in the Forex market. Did you know you could actually make money trading currencies? I know, it sounds pretty crazy at first, but it's true. If this sounds like something you might be interested in, check out this introduction to Forex trading and find out how it works. If that sounds good, you could check out the rest of the site to see how to make money at it. If you thought the widget up above was handy, bookmark this page or share the page with your friends by using the social networking tools here on the page. Thanks for stopping by the FTR!
