If you're looking for Metatrader Forex brokers, you definitely have a lot of options to choose from. The vast majority of brokers out there offer this popular trading platform and understand that it's a major draw for traders. If you're used to the Metatrader platform and you're looking for Forex brokerage firms to work with, there are a few factors to consider.

Which Version?

When you're making the decision of which broker to go with in the foreign exchange market, you need to look at which version of Metatrader they offer. The vast majority of brokers in the market offer Metatrader 4. This was one of the most popular trading platforms of all time and not that many brokers have adopted the new Metatrader 5 platform yet.

Although, the fifth version is a little more advanced and have some different features, most traders are familiar with the fourth version and would prefer to stick with it. Most expert advisors are often optimized for the fourth platform, so this is a natural platform to offer.

If you're one of those people that likes the newest and updated versions of everything, then you may want to look for one of the brokers that was an early adopter of Metatrader 5. Otherwise, you should be able to find a plethora of options to consider.

Spreads

One of the nice features about this platform is that it makes it easy for you to see what the Forex spreads are that are being offered by a broker. Most brokers advertise the spreads that they offer on their websites. However, the spreads that are advertised are not always the real spreads. Once you download the trading platform to your computer, you can see what the spreads are in real-time.

On the top left of the screen, you can see all of the various currency pairs that the broker offers. Next to the name of the currency pair, you will see two quotes for the pair. You simply subtract the higher price from the lower price to see what the spread is. Finding a broker with a lower spread can help you save trading capital over the long run.

Brokers

You can literally find hundreds of different Metatrader Forex brokers out there to work with. The best broker is not the same for everyone as we all have different preferences and needs. I'll go ahead and list some of the ones that I like and know have a good reputation in the industry.

FXCM is a quality broker that I've personally used and they offer the platform. They have really good customer service and they have been around forever. FXDD is another good one to go with and they have the platform to use. AVA FX is one of the highest rated brokers in the industry and they offer the trading platform as well.
